CULNICO® EXP11
Ready Mixed Bonds

CULNICO® EXP11

Pre-alloyed iron-copper bond powder for diamond beads, cutting segments, gang saw tools, rollers and fickerts.

Higher-copper CULNICO® bond for comparative qualification

CULNICO® EXP11 is a pre-alloyed iron-copper bond powder with a higher copper range than EXP10. It keeps tin in the system while reducing nickel and phosphorus, making it a practical option when the manufacturer wants to assess a softer or more copper-driven matrix balance within the same tool family.

It is used on diamond beads, cutting segments, gang saw tools, rollers and fickerts when the technical objective is to compare hardness, wear behaviour and process response against another ready-made bond chemistry, without changing the overall production logic.

Designed for diamond beads, cutting segments, gang saw tools, rollers and fickerts
Higher copper range than EXP10 for comparative matrix tuning
Usable in both free sintering and hot pressing qualification routes
Pre-alloyed bond powder for process comparison, trial work and recurring production assessment

Why manufacturers qualify CULNICO®

Developed for diamond-tool manufacturers looking for a robust and credible alternative to cobalt-based bond systems.
Built to combine cutting performance, matrix resilience and process stability in recurring industrial production.
Suitable for technical comparison, qualification work and production transfer from trial batches to regular supply.

Technical notes

Designed as a true cobalt alternative for diamond tooling, combining high performance, resilience and strong cutting behaviour.
The alloy can be mixed directly with diamond in production batches without complex preparation steps.

What it is used for

EXP11 is used for the same diamond-tool families as EXP10, but with a matrix chemistry shifted further toward copper and with a lower nickel-phosphorus contribution.
That makes it useful when the producer wants to compare how another matrix balance behaves in hardness, sintering response and wear profile on the same target tool.
In practical terms, it should be run as a comparative qualification grade on existing beads, segments, rollers or fickerts, then validated against the required cutting performance and production repeatability.
