CULNICO® EXP31 is a pre-alloyed iron-copper bond powder with tin, manganese and chromium additions. Compared with EXP10 and EXP11, it moves to a different alloying logic aimed at manufacturers that need a harder and more chromium-oriented matrix profile.
It is suited to diamond tools, cutting segments, gang saw tools, rollers and fickerts when the technical target is to evaluate a chromium-bearing bond with a different wear, retention and hardness balance, especially in HIP-oriented production settings.
CULNICO® EXP31 is built around an iron-copper matrix with tin, manganese and chromium additions. The ranges below define the alloy window used to position the grade for harder diamond-tool matrices.
